My 21st Birthday Celebration!

Hey there everyone!

It has been a long time since I have written a post but it's because I have been so busy the past week. Last week I was trying to get everything sorted for my birthday. Had to find a dress! 

As usual, I left things till last minute, which is why everything felt so overwhelming! But I did find a dress and it all worked out fine. 

I made my birthday celebration spread out over 3 days! Friday night I went ice skating, on Saturday I went out clubbing in town with my close friends and on Monday (22nd October), my actual birthday, I went out for dinner with my family. 

It was all very nice! Really appreciate what everyone did to make sure my birthday was special!

Now I'm officially an adult I guess. Although it doesn't feel like it. I still feel normal and will still be acting like my usual crazy and bubbly self.

Face Of The Day (yesterday)

Hey there everyone!

My 21st Birthday is coming up soon! YAY!!! (22nd October)

This coming weekend I will be celebrating it with friends and family. My birthday comes on a Monday. So I'm celebrating it on the weekend before. Excited! Still trying to decide on what I'm going to wear though. Might buy a new dress. Only got this week to find something!

Anyways...

This is my first "Face Of The Day" post! Now that I have a better camera, the images come out more clearly. So, I was excited to start taking photo's with my make up on and knowing that it will come out with good quality!

So here is my make up look that I had for yesterday. I went to town with my friend for a few hours. Then I had to go to work at 4pm. Even though I had work later on, I still wanted to make an effort with my make up.

• Yves Rocher Sexy Pulp Ultra-Volume Mascara (shade: 01 Noir)
• e.l.f Cosmetics Studio Blush (shade: Twinkle Pink)
• Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter (shade: Cotton Candy)
• e.l.f Cosmetics Make up Mist and Set

There it is. I hope to take more photo's of more colourful eye make up looks. Just need some time because I work most days. Only get one day off a week.

Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette

Hey everyone!

I took another splurge and bought the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette!

It is quite expensive, but I thought, might as well. I have heard such good things about both, Naked 1 and 2. I had a hard time deciding which one to buy. Finally decided on the second one. 

With the Naked 2 Palette you also get a little lip junkie. It's a nice and generous size. Looks really cute within the packaging and the smell almost reminds me of Aero Mint chocolate. Which is great, because I like that chocolate! Yum, it also tastes sweet, always a plus! You also get a double ended brush within the palette. 

The packaging of the actual palette is great. It just looks and feels so luxurious! It  has a smooth tin-like texture to the palette. This makes it very strong and durable. Guarenteed to last a very long time. Probably as long as you ever need to use it for. 

You get 12 lovely eye shadow shades. Very easy to work with. You could easily come up with a few, nice and natural looks with these. Another great thing is that you get a mix of matte and shimmer shades.

The eye shadows are really pigmented. The swatches were done without any primer.

I'm happy to say that I finally own a product from Urban Decay. This is my first purchase from them and it has now become the most expensive make up product that I currently own.

New Camera!

I have recently got a new camera! YAY! Canon EOS 600D.

For awhile now I have been wanting to get a really good camera. So when I saw this camera advertised on Groupon for a really good price, I was really tempted. Eventually I gave in to the temptation! 

But, I do not regret it at all. It's beautiful and it is a really good camera! The reason that I'm sharing this with you all is that I plan to use this camera from now onwards to take photo's and make up looks. The photo's will come out more clearer and better quality! So I'm excited with the possibilities of this camera! I have even been contemplating on starting up a YouTube beauty channel because I can video record with this camera to.

Anyways, I took this camera on a test run in my back yard.

Peek Of What's To Come And A Catch Up

Good evening ladies!

First of all, a very Happy October to everyone! Welcome to my birth month. This month is my birthday month and I will be turning 21. 

Ahh, it's good to be typing up another blog post after awhile! Hope you all have been good. 

I have just been working as usual. Not getting a day off this week. However, my weekend was good as I did go out on the town with some friends.

I have also recently booked my flight! I am going for a 3 week holiday towards the end of November to my awesome home town, Cape Town - South Africa. I'm super excited! It's going to be so good to see all my family and friends again. It's also going to be Summer there so it will be really hot! The beach will be calling my name!

This post will just be a little teaser of upcoming blog posts. Some very interesting goodies arrived in the mail last week. So I will be sharing that with you. Here are some photo's as the tease commences...
