e.l.f Cosmetics Haul!

Hello there beautiful people!
How are we this weekend?
Hope you all have been enjoying your weekend regardless if you spent it working, partying or spending quality time with family and friends :)

This post will be about some e.l.f Cosmetics goodies that I bought about a week or 2 ago. Finally have some time now to post about it to you all :)

The 2 main reasons why I decided to buy some e.l.f goodies is because I wanted to try out their HD Blushes and they also had a 48% off Sale.

It would be rude to not take advantage of that!

Let's start with the products...

Large Brush Holder
£14

First up we have a brush holder. I already own the small one but, since my make up brushes have increased, I wanted to get a bigger one to separate the different types of brushes.

Jumbo Eyeshadow Stick
Shade: Check Me Out
£2.50

What a lovely colour! :)
(I'm not just saying that because purple is my favourite colour)
It is a nice shade. I originally wanted to go for black but it was sold out. But I am not disappointed in this shade.

Pressed Mineral Eyeshadow
Shade: Bridal Party
£3.50

I bought this because I wanted to get another highlighting colours for my brow bone. I don't really like working with mineral shadows because it is messy and easy for to overload and put too much product on the lid. So I went for the pressed mineral shadow.

Eye Enhancing Eyeshadow
Shade: Brown Eye 2
£8

Just wanted to try out some eyeshadows. In my make up routine, I always put the most effort into my eyes/eyeshadows. This palette should apparently enhance my brown eyes, so I will see about that. Seems good so far. The colours do not seem too much, they seem neutral and easy to blend.

Maximum Coverage Concealer
Shade: Sand
£3.75

Wanted to try out another concealer for my dark circles. I think this shade might be a little too dark and I don't think I like the texture of this. Seems a bit too thick when I swatched it on my arm.

HD Blush
£3.75
Shades: Diva and Superstar

These are pretty nice! And so affordable. The bottles were smaller than expected but I can tell that the amount of product will last a very long time! The consistency of this liquid is so cool. It comes out as a liquid and blends into a powdery/dry texture on the skin. I think that's a great quality because then it won't look so shiny and cakey once you have applied it to your face.

And that is my latest little haul. Hope you enjoyed reading.

February 2013 Glossybox

Hey there everyone!

Hope you all had a great weekend. It has been such a hectic working week for me. My week has basically just consisted of being at work. But, I had a nice short shift today so I have some time to dedicate to my blog and do this post that I have wanted to do a few days ago already.

Yup, that good time of the month where you get that present at your door from Glossybox :D

Eeek! This month's box is so cute! It really put a smile on my face when I opened the box and saw this month's themed Glossybox. Valentine's Day! I really appreciate the effort that they have done with making the box look different and lovely :)

Below are the products that I got in my box:

Micabella Cosmetics
Mineral Blush Powder (shade: Sierra Suede) 0.8g

Full Size Price: £34.95 for 9g

This is a very generous sample of a mineral blush. Would last awhile. I don't tend to reach for mineral products these days because it is a messy product to work with because it's a powder. However, I do like to use a powder to set my make up. But when it comes to eye shadows or blushes, I prefer it to be solid in a palette or something. Set aside all of that, this does look like a nice and neutral pink shade and I would try it out.

MeMeMe Cosmetics
Beat the Blues
12ml

Full size price: £5.50 per 12ml
(therefore I received this as a full size product *whoopwhoop*)

So this is a skin illuminator. I don't often use a lot of highlighting products for my face. Sometimes, I don't know if it makes such a big difference. This does seem to have a high level of highlight, which is a plus! Not to keen on the applicator of the bristle brush though! Would be more fitting if I'm painting my nails with it. Hehe.

Q
The Fine Fragrance Body Spray (100ml)

Full Size price: £2.29
(another full sized sample)

Mmmmm this does smell good! It has a gentle floral smell. Not overpowering at all. Have never heard of this brand but it is affordable and easy to find.

Helen E Cosmetics
Moisturing Lipstick

Full size price: £8 per 3.5g
(full sized sample)

I am loving how this month's box has quiet a few make up products :)
I tried out this lipstick and it applies very well. The consistency of the lipstick is nice and smooth and not drying on the lips. However, I will have to be in a daring mood to try out this dark and seductive red shade as I usually go for pinks on my lips.

Docteur Renaud
Raspberry Soft Cream (30ml)

Full size price: £25 for 50ml

This is the perfect size for your handbag! It's always handy to carry around a cream for when your hands seem to be screaming out for some moisture like mine are these days! The smell of this cream is sooooooo GOOD! A nice and sweet smelling lotion, ofcourse Raspberry scented. Does definitely leave the skin feeling all nice and soft.

Last but not least...The Valentine's Day bonus treat from Glossybox!

Awww, another cute gesture from Glossybox!
This box was aimed at creating a nice Valentine's day feel and look! I think it succeeded.

Hope you all also had a good Valentine's Day. I was just stuck at work for the whole day lol.

Thank you for reading!

Pinky Nails

Hey everyone!
How you all doing?
Big apologies for the lack of blog posts lately! Been bit busy.

Today I am just doing a little post to show the nails I did for myself a week ago. It's nothing special. I was messing around with some nail art tools!
I also wanted to just try out the Seche Vite nail polish that I got in a Glossybox because the colour looks so adorable in the bottle! :)

The only products used for this were:

-Seche Vite - Debutant
- NYX Matte Polish - Matte White
- Rimmel 5 in 1 Base and Top Coat

I really like this pinky colour! It's a really cute baby pink with slight shimmers! A definite win from Glossybox ;)

I have recently ordered a Gel Nail Course from Essential Nails. Have any of you tried out this company??
It's a home course, so I can take my time doing it. Have not started it yet. But when I have time I will get started on it. But I am excited to try out this nails course and hopefully go on to other courses like the Acrylic course and the Nail Art course. Maybe I can work in the Beauty business after all of this!
I have also 2 make up courses booked. I really want this year to be a year of career change and new opportunities.

Hope you all are doing alright. My 100 follower give away competition is still running and you can still enter via this LINK
There is still a week left to enter :)
